ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2019-2020

An amazing evening to everyone present here!

 Esteemed and revered President of today’s mega show Rev. Sr. Miriam, Provincial superior of FSM, Chief Guest of the day Dr. T.V. Venkateswaran, Scientist F. Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, Special Guests of Honour Mr. Ganeshmoothy, Chief Educational Officer, Salem and Mrs. L. Sumathi, District Educational Officer, Salem, Heads of various institutions, reverent fathers and sisters, dear parents, friends and associates of the school I wish you all a wonderful time with us on this auspicious day.

         It’s my honour and privilege to present to this august gathering all the captivating memoirs of the academic year 2019-20. It’s a true recount of the current year that comprises of our school’s on-going activities and the accomplishments. The year was packed with innumerable activities that tapped the innate talents of the students of our school. We the Management, the Staff and the students found fulfilment in achieving them. I bow my head to the Sovereign Lord who shields and protect us.

        Our motto “Love and Service” engraved in the school emblem is unique and it stands for harmonious development of the school and its inmates.

         The new academic year commenced in June with 3230 students on record. A team of hi-fi techno wizards formed the school staff. Their commitment and dedication is truly amazing. I send a note of gratitude to all the teaching faculty and the non-teaching staff for their selfless service and their readiness to support the institution all the time.

         I am immensely pleased to state that the students of  +2 brought glory to their Alma mater through 100% results in the Board Exams, last March. A. Sridevi was the School Topper with 579 marks out of 600. Out of 315 students appeared for the Board exam 20 of them notched a total above 575. Five of them secured centum in Computer Science, one in Economics, three students in Commerce and Seven of them in Accountancy.

         I am also proud to declare that the +1 students too brought laurels to school through their cent percent results. V. Anushree was the School Topper with 579 marks out of 600. Out of 282 students appeared for the +1 exams 8 students secured total above 575. Three students secured centum in Economics, three in Accountancy, one in Commerce and three in Computer Application.

         The students of Class-X too added a colourful feather to our cap through their cent percent results with two centum in Mathematics, four in Science and one in Social Science. Janani.A excelled all others with the total of 493/500.Hearty congratulations to you dear teachers and students!

         Our smart and vibrant angelites took active participation in the World Communication Day . S.Aswitha & Co won first place in group dance. S.Aiswarya & Co won second place in Tamil skit and N.Shivani & Co won first place in the short film.

         A laudable applause to S.Anirvinhya of VII – A who participated in SAREGAMAPA and was awarded Rs. 1 Lakh in recognition to her talent and efforts in singing.

        We are elated to express that some of the smart brainees of the school brought fame to the school through their extraordinary display of maestro skills in the National Abacus competitions organized by Braino Brain Fest.V. Shruthika of VI-C won a gold medal and G.C. Kaniga of VI-D secured a silver medal. R.H. Dharshini of VI-D was declared the Champion of the contest.

         Our enthusiastic Spell bee Contestants K. Kavya of VI-A, S.K. Deeksha of VII-B, V. Rithika of VII-A and B. Priyanka of X-C knocked the 6th  place in the State Level Spell Bee Contest. Sayeeda Shabnam of VII-D grabbed the 7th position in the National Grand Finale of Win National Spell bee Contest.

         S.H. Harini of VI–B and N.U.Srivarsha of IX- B participated in the Memory Contest conducted by Tamil Thiru Vempavai Peruvizha Kalagam and stood first place.    

         It’s heartening to note that S. Divya Dharshini X-A pursued the Rajya Purushkar Award at the state level Bharat Scouts and Guides National Camp. I am pleased to place in record that our Super Seniors J.Priya Dharshini, M.S. Shanmathi, N. Kanishka Devi of XI-E and S.M. Monica, Y. subhavarsha and M.Kaavya Bharathi of XI-B have been selected for President Award at National level. I am happy to note that our juniors S. Afseen Sahana & Co. ranked the 1st place in state level and the seniors S. Vijayalakshmi &Co. our guides were the recipients of governor Award.

         In the science expo organized by Truimphant Institute of Management Education pvt. Ltd. Our budding scientists S. Reshwarthini and M. Krishni of IX-B unveiled their flair through their challenging exhibit and won the Best Exhibit Award.  They won the appreciation of the viewers. J. Lakshmi Priya of IX-B was conferred the title – Young Scientist-2020 for her performance in Science by Space Kidz India.

         Sports and games are integral part of education. The sprinters of Holy Angels’ amassed prizes through the display of their sports skills in the 33rd Tamil Nadu    State Junior Open Athletic Championship. A. Harita of XI-B, S. Myure of XI-A, T.G. Diksha of IX-B, G. Vahindra of IX-C and J.S. Yazhini Srina of VI-C emerged victorious in the Sports Meet. They added a colourful feather to the cap of Holy angels by smacking the overall championship in the  Mega State level Olympics and Sports. G.S. Shanjanaa of VIII-A, T.G. Diksha of IX-B, G. Vahindra of IX-C and  J.R. Roshika of VII-A won gold medals in 4×100 mts. relay race in the  state level Inter school Athletic Meet  for girls. It’s important to note that J.G. Diksha of IX-B won bronze medal in 100 mts long jump and J.R. Roshika of VII-A won silver medal in 1500 mts.

         Our juniors, Poorane Gokul & co. and the seniors A. Harita & Co. achieved incredible success  for outsmarting others in 4×100 mts & 100 mts relay conducted by the Department of School Education, District and Divisional level and won gold medals.  T.G. Diksha & Co. took part in the 17th National Inter District Junior Athletics Meet organized by the Athletic federation of India.

  1. Dharanisha of VI-D and I.S. Dharani of VIII-D won gold and silver medals respectively in the Badminton under 14,Tournament. A.M.Thiroshika of VII-D won 3 gold medals in swimming race conducted by Salem Revenue district. K. Neha of X-D won silver and gold medals in gymnastics at the Republic Day  Gymnastics Tournament. She also won a gold medal in the 2nd State Trampoline Gymnastics Championship organized by Tamil Nadu Gymnastics Association.

     Our chess star K.M. Deepanjali of XII-C showed remarkable brain power and secured silver medal in Salem Revenue District level. S.Iniya of VII-D won silver medal in Stick Fencing under 13 organized by Inter School state level Fencing.

         Our martial queens outshined even in Martial Art. S.R. Payal of  IX-A won gold in power lifting, M.D. Esther of X-D won gold medal in Karate and M.N. Malar of VII-A won gold medal in Boxing at the state level tournaments.

         Two of our students S. Aakriti Meenakshi of V-B and R.R. Thamarai selvi of VI-A made us proud securing both silver and bronze medals in the first Tamil Nadu State open Taekwondo Championship.

2.  Shree Varshini  and  A.Tamil Azhagi  of  XI-A have been ranked as National Winners in Basketball, organized by Ministry of Youth  Affairs and Khelo, Government of India. S.Subha Sri of XI-B and R.Dharshini of IX-A have been participated in Basketball at National level organized by School Games Federation of India.

         S.Sourabhi  brought laurels to the school through her spectacular performance in Basketball organized by Tamil Nadu Basketball Association. A note of appreciation goes to A.Evangelin Tanya of VIII- B for her extraordinary skill display in Netball organized by the Netball Association, Tamil Nadu. S.Subhashree & Co. have been ranked as Achievers of Netball at the national level organized by School Games Federation of India. Hats off to you all gamers and the sprinters. 

         I am immensely pleased to inform you that J.M. Harshini of IV-C has set a world record 2020 through her tactic skill display in Boxing- Punch 600 in three minutes, at the contest held in Trichy on 12th January 2020. S. Shamritha of VII-C won silver and gold medals in Kung-Fu organized by Kung-Fu Association, Tamil Nadu.

         R.Gayathri of X-B and A.S.Sampreetha of X-C won the elusive title in Table Tennis and stamped their victory in singles and doubles. J.Sujitha of IV-D has secured 3rd  place in Inter District Tennis Championship.

         K.M.Nivedhitha of  VII-C has been awarded as “SALEM THANGAMAGAL” on National Girl Child Day for her excellent performance in various competitions held on 24.01.2020 organized by District Collector “Salem Thangamagal”.

         Musing over the glory of the present and the past my heart fills with delight to see the exuberant growth of Holy Angels – our Alma Mater. We take real pride in asserting that the past students of this glorious fortress of learning spread its fragrance all over the world.

         On this happy occasion I gratefully acknowledge the unending support rendered by all our parents, benefactors and friends and associates of the school. May this lovely new year-2020 bring your home showers of blessings, peace and prosperity. Good Luck! God bless all!
