Education plays a prominent role in making ways for the people to lead a noble life. Holy Angels’ Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Salem – 16. provides such kind of education since 47 years. Knowledge and skill is imparted to students on academics and extra-curricular activities.
Complete education makes one transcend from the level of human being to a challenging person.
It is worth mentioning that our school NATURE CLUB is actively functioning in making the students to understand and realise the importance of nature through various educational trips.
Our special thanks to Principal Sr.Shanti for her kind support and guidance to implement the programme successfully.
A trip to Chennai with IX and VIII standard students accompanied by 15 teachers was memorable and enjoyable. The programme started as scheduled on 26.08.13 night at 10.00 p.m. from Holy Angels to Queens land Chennai and reached the next day morning at 6.15 a.m.
Queensland, a theme park in Poonamallee, Chennai was opened in 2003 and covers to acres. The park is located by the Chennai – Bangalore Trunk Road between Sriperumpudhur and Poonamallee.
Students refreshed themselves after admiring the view of Free Fall Tower, the flag ship ride of Queens land.
At 8.00 a.m. students were served with delicious and nutritious breakfast. Their favourite dishes like Idly, Venpongal and Vada were provided. Students started their games and rides at 10.00 a.m.
Roller Coaster, cable car a 30 minute ride was very thrilling and exciting. Simulation theatre, octopus, bumper cars, Alpen Betz, Centrox, Mirror House, Queens Land fairy train ride involved lots of fun.
Himalayan water ride and other water games were very delightful. Students enjoued thoroughly and it was a time of recreation and entertainment.
At 3.00 p.m. all the buses stated from Queens land to planetarium, the “PERIYAR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGICAL CENTRE”. It was more educative to the students who learnt more about planets, space, galaxies, solar system etc. The A.C. theatre made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable. 3D movies which was played for half-an-hour about snakes and rats made the children to laugh, laugh and laugh.
Apart from academics students acquired life-oriented education by this various activities in the wonderful trip.
On 28.08.13 at 4.00 a.m. the trip came to an end and reached Holy Angels’ Salem.
